SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION:

This position is responsible for the accomplishment of complex work in research and development, including investigation, acquisition, integration and distribution of advanced technologies that support the long-term business strategies of Rockwell Automation.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

·      Establishes research methodology, project objectives and milestones for major technical initiatives;

·      Achieve the goals of allocated projects on schedule with a high level of quality; Report interim milestones and final results to management.

·      Build a good relationship with the customers, project sponsors, and other research/development labs within Rockwell Automation;

·      Conduct tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality and environmental regulations as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures

REQUIREMENT:
·      University degree in Electrical Engineering, Industry Automation, Computer Science or equivalent required. Ph.D degree or Masters with at least 3 year working experience in Engineering is desirable
·      Knowledge of industrial communications and fieldbus technologies is a must;
·      Experience of Visual Studio C++ programming and COM programming is a must;

·      Knowledge of XML technology is a must, and knowledge of XSLT and/or Web Service can be a plus;

·      Experience with industrial control applications (with PLC I/O configuration and CIP networks is a plus;

·      Good command of spoken and written English, and with a good communication skill.
·      High capacity of creative thinking.

·      A good team player, and being able to work effectively and consistently with limited supervision.
